Come tutte le settimane uno studente è in treno verso la Svizzera, ad un tratto si accorge che il tunnel che stanno percorrendo è stranamente lungo. L’oscurità persistente lo rende sempre più apprensivo. Eppure gli altri passeggeri non sembrano preoccupati. Anche il capo treno lo rassicura dicendo che tutto va bene. Ma, quando lo studente si reca nella cabina tecnica con il capo treno… la trovano vuota. Non riescono ad attivare il freno d’emergenza, possono solo osservare il treno, in rapida accelerazione, dirigersi dritto verso un oscuro abisso.
On his weekly train ride through Switzerland a student notices that the tunnel they are driving through is unusually long. The persistent darkness makes him increasingly apprehensive. His fellow passengers don’t seem concerned. Even the conductor reassures him that everything is fine. But when he heads to the engineer’s cabin with the chief conductor – they find it empty. And after their effort to pull the emergency break fails, they watch the rapidly accelerating train head straight into a dark abyss.
Nel 2008 Christoph Daniel e Marc Schmidheiny fondano la casa di produzione DCM a Berlino insieme a Dario Suter. Dopo il successo del lungometraggio Waffenstillstand, DCM si occupa anche di distribuzione. Nel 2011 avvia un partenariato con lo storico DELPHI Filmverleih di Berlino. DCM ha coprodotto film di successo come Kon-Tiki, Quartet e A long way down. Dal 2013
producono anche l’amata serie per bambini Bibi & Tina. L’anno scorso hanno
distribuito il film sui rifugiati Mediterranea.
Christoph Daniel and Marc Schmidheiny have opened the production company DCM in Berlin together with Dario Suter. After the success of the feature film Waffenstillstand, DCM started working in distribution as well. In 2011 it became partners with the historic DELPHI Filmverleih in Berlin. DCM has coproduced successful films such as Kon-Tiki, Quarter and A long way down. They have also been producing the renowned kids series Bibi & Tina from 2013. Last year they distributed the refugee film Mediterranea.
