Out of competition – MAY 4 and 5 AT 3 PM AT BLA
This selection was created four years with the aim of disseminating digital culture, innovation, and new technologies related to cinema. The use of Meta Quest 2 VR headsets allows audiences to experience journeys in unexplored worlds while sitting comfortably. These narratives are obviously different from those characterizing traditional film but can be very engaging thanks to their immersive nature.
The 2024 selection was created in partnership with Image Ouverte, an experimental film festival based in Paris aiming to investigate our relationship with image, going beyond traditional narrative patterns. The films created by Expérimentations ouvertes provide out-of-the-box visions that open the viewer’s mind.
