Workshop – MAY 4 at 5 pm BLA
Artficial Intelligenze and cinema.
The future of the storytelling
Artificial intelligence is a reality in the daily life of many professions. Cinema is no exception. We will discuss this theme with Demetra Birtone and Giovanni Abitante, who directed the film Cassandra, produced by Scuola Holden and Rai Cinema, pioneers in the use of artificial intelligence in Italian cinema, who will also show us their production. Along with the two young authors, we will have a workshop in which participants will be invited to draft a script; then the script will come to life with static and moving images generated by artificial intelligence software. An immersive laboratory to explore the potential of Artificial Intelligence and test the creation of engaging narratives with the capabilities of new technologies at the service of writing and screenplay, as well as direction and post- production.
DEMETRA BIRTONE is a director, social media manager, and content creator. Cassandra, the first short film made with AI, co-produced by Rai Cinema and Scuola Holden, is her debut film. a designer and writer.
GIOVANNI ABITANTE is a filmmaker passionate about new technologies and Artificial Intelligence, which he appreciates because it allows bringing to life stories that would have been otherwise unthinkable without a budget. With the help of AI, he has produced the short film Another Life, exhibited at the Cinema Museum of Turin, and Cassandra.
