CAESAR DESIGN FILM AWARD – The winner and the jury motivation

The first edition of the Caesar Design Film Award was held inside the Fiorano Modenese main square during the Ennesimo Moviement Edition realized in consequence of the sanitary emercency due to the Covid-19 virus.

The international panel of Judges of the contest chose to give the Prize to the film Learning by doing. Lesotho 2018 directed by Fabio Petronilli. Here the motivation

The jury appreciated and thoroughly discussed all the films in this competition and decided to reward the film that has most intensively addressed a question that will define our future, that is the theme of environmental, social and human sustainability, by showing the creativity and energy of a community committed to building a fairer world, with the contribution of local knowledge and contemporary technologies.

For these reasons and for telling this story in an inspiring and compelling way, the award goes to “Learning by doing. Lesotho 2018” by Fabio Petronilli.

The same movie, “Learning by doing” by Fabio Petronillo, was also chose by the Wannabe Designer jury.
