Guest of the final evening of the ninth edition of the Ennesimo Film Festival is Cecilia Sala, an example of how multimedia can be a tool at the service of information.
Journalist and podcaster, she uses her writing and her voice to narrate the world. From war zones to borderlands, the journalist tells Stories (title of her podcast for Chora Media) that help understand cultural and social dynamics. She was a live witness to the fall of Kabul in Afghanistan in 2021, then she has been to Ukraine to give a voice to those living under the bombs, and finally to Tehran to observe movements after the death of Mahsa Amini. L’Incendio (lit. The Fire), her latest book, is a choral tale that shows us these three focal points burning the world. More recently, Cecilia Sala has been on the Gaza border, where she collected testimonies after that terrible 7 October 2023. She writes for Il Foglio, has collaborated with Vanity Fair, L’Espresso, Rai and Will Media, and worked in the editorial staff of Otto e mezzo on LA7.
In other words, Cecilia Sala is very young and yet seems to have already lived more than one life!
