The festival could not exist without a strong connection with the place where it stands, including the Administration, businesses, local associations, schools, but also and above all, the audience. Hence the idea of dedicating an international award and a selection of short films exclusively to the residents fo the Ceramic Valley
All residents, in fact, have been delivered a postcard containing a QR Code to access a special selection of the Festival website, where they can watch a selection of short films, dedicated to the topic “Family Affairs”. The films focus on the relationship between parents and children and on the various concepts of family, to collectively reflect on what has happened since the beginning of the pandemic. In fact, people have been either in close contact, or far away from the people of their family for a very long time: whether it was the family of origin or a “chosen” one, a family that was desired or a family that will exist in the future. Once the screening is over, the citizens will vote for their favourite film and award the City of Fiorano Prize.
