Everything is set for the weekend of Ennesimo Film Festival

The festival in Fiorano continues to sell out. Tomorrow, the screening of the official selection will conclude, and on Sunday evening, the awards ceremony will take place.

 

The final weekend of the Ennesimo Film Festival will begin tomorrow: Saturday evening, at 8:30 PM at the Teatro Astoria, there will be an appointment with the dialogue coach for films by Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen, the tireless Elettra Caporello, while on Sunday, at the same time and place, the closing of the event will take place with journalist Cecilia Sala.

Yesterday was a rich afternoon of events with students from the Industrial Product Design course at the University of Bologna, who first participated in a visit to the production site of Caesar Ceramiche and then attended a talk with Simona Finessi. In the evening, there was great participation in the event with visual designer Riccardo Falcinelli. The award for the selection of the Caesar Design Film Award went to director Francesco Clerici, who was present yesterday, co-author of “The Ice Builders”. Yesterday, Ruth Early, casting director, among others, of Game of Thrones and The Crown, met with the students of class 1B Leopardi at 11 AM. At 5 PM, at the BLA, students from the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Modern Cultures of the University of Bologna engaged in a dialogue with Chinese director Fan Popo; this was followed by the screening of shorts from the Sinofonie award, shot in the Chinese language by chinese-speaking directors residing inside and outside China. At 8:30 PM, “l’amica geniale” Margherita Mazzucco opened the evening of the Official Selection with the screening of the first ten short films in competition.

From 10 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 7 PM tomorrow, Saturday, May 4th, there will be space for the virtual experience of the Ennesimo Film Festival, which will provide participants with augmented reality VR at the BLA. In the same time slot, the little ones will find, in Piazza Ciro Menotti, the now famous Big Balloon. In collaboration with the Motor Film Awards, at 10 AM, also at the BLA, short films focusing on cars and motorcycles will be screened; in the same space, at 11:30 AM, there will be the screening of the Affari di Famiglia selection, for the awarding of the City of Fiorano Prize. In the afternoon, at 3 PM, the students of the Academy, in the Library in Fiorano, will interview the directors of the Ennesimo Young Selection, while from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, workshops will be offered for children aged 3 to 10 years at the Ludoteca Barone Rosso. Artificial Intelligence returns to the forefront at the BLA, with the workshop at 5 PM, together with director Demetra Birtone on how to create audiovisuals using AI. This will be followed by the screening of Cassandra, a film produced by Scuola Holden and Rai Cinema with the direction of Birtone herself and the support of Artificial Intelligence. The dialogue coach for films by Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen, the expert Elettra Caporello, will open the Official Selection at the Teatro Astoria at 8:30 PM. Another DJ set is planned at the end of the evening at the Caffè del Teatro Astoria.

Sunday, May 5th, will be the grand finale. The virtual experiences of the Ennesimo Film Festival, which will provide participants with augmented reality VR at the BLA, and the Big Balloon in Piazza Ciro Menotti for the little ones, will be offered again from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 7 PM. Successively, at the BLA, three different screenings: at 10 AM “From Emilia to the West”, at 11:30 AM “Worldwide”, and at 3 PM “War Game”. From 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, workshops for children aged 3 to 10 years will be offered again at the Ludoteca Barone Rosso, while at 5 PM, at the BLA, a seminar with Alessandro Coletta, Director of the COSMO-SkyMed Mission, in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency, will be held. This will be followed by the screening of shorts from the Spazio Selection. The closing is scheduled for 8:30 PM: Cecilia Sala, a great guest, will open the evening at the Teatro Astoria, followed by the official awards ceremony.
