Reflecting its spirit with an ambitious program and a host of distinguished guests, Ennesimo Film Festival is ready to celebrate its tenth edition with a truly impressive lineup. From April 27th to May 4th, Fiorano Modenese and five other towns in the region will be the setting for events that weave together cinema, education, art, science, and community. This richness of perspectives is central to the Festival’s appeal, amplified by the presence of guests who illustrate the breadth of the cultural endeavor Ennesimo has pursued for ten years.

The Ennesimo Film Festival kicks off with a special event on Sunday, April 27th: Giovanni Muciaccia, a prominent personality in children’s television, will be at the Astoria Theatre. Starting at 5:00 PM, Muciaccia will transport the audience to a world of nostalgia, a journey back to the time of white glue, colored paper, and unlimited imagination. ‘Relive the magic of Art Attack’ is not just a title, but an invitation to rediscover the enchantment of childhood, where art was born from simple ideas and creativity. Expect an emotional experience, blending memories and inspiration, that celebrates the power of creative gestures, akin to the power of cinema. Free admission is offered, but reservations are required; visit the Ennesimo Film Festival website for complete information.

The dialogue between cinema and architecture will be led by Mario Cucinella, renowned as one of the most influential voices on the international stage, with a background as a student of Renzo Piano and a long-standing commitment to environmentally and socially conscious architecture. Architect Cucinella will be the featured speaker at an event on April 30th at 8:30 PM. At the Astoria Theatre, Cucinella will open the Caesar Design Film Award evening with a talk, followed by a screening of short films that delve into the links between cinema and design. Architects can also earn professional development credits by attending

Master of Italian film costume design and last year’s David di Donatello winner for his work on Marco Bellocchio’s ‘Kidnapped,’ Sergio Ballo, will be the featured guest on Friday, May 2nd. At the Astoria Theatre, starting at 8:30 PM, Ballo will take the audience on a journey into the world of film costumes, exploring fabrics, silhouettes, and inspirations that connect historical periods with future projections, revealing how costume art can become a form of pure narrative. This will be followed by the first screening night of the Official Selection. Ennesimo Film Festival also features Marco Manca: a ‘singing actor’ and workshop leader, whose direct and engaging style will first lead a workshop from 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM at the Teatrino del Crociale – focusing on the exploration of film professions –, and then will participate in a talk on the evening of May 3rd, before the official selection screening, at the Teatro Astoria. The event begins at 8:30 PM.

Concluding the tenth edition, one of its most remarkable aspects is the continued extraordinary partnership between Ennesimo Film Festival and the Italian Space Agency. This collaboration, unique in Italy, will integrate a scientific and cinematic approach within the Festival, highlighted by a significant event on May 4th. On that day, at the Fiorano Library Ludoteca Archive, Maria Virelli, COSMO-SkyMed satellite system Mission Manager, will take the audience on a captivating journey through images from space and their narratives, beginning at 5 PM. This event will merge science and imagination, offering a fitting finale to an edition that looks ahead to what’s to come.

«This edition is the culmination of ten years of dedication – explains Federica Ferro, president of Tilt, the youth association responsible for Ennesimo Film Festival – and we’re proud to bring to Fiorano some of the leading voices in their fields. Our core mission is to build bridges, ignite inspiration, and facilitate conversations between different artistic and expressive forms, offering the public opportunities for both reflection and wonder. This tenth anniversary is more than just a celebration of reaching this milestone; it’s a testament to our guiding vision: a Festival that constantly evolves, welcomes new collaborations, and interprets the world through the multifaceted perspective of cinema»
