In the Hungarian countryside, a young football player is accused by a teammate of fixing the result of a local championship football match. He has to go against the local oligarch and make difficult decisions to find his own path.

Ákos Pauló-Varga graduated from the University of Szeged, in southern Hungary, with a master’s degree in Film Studies. Since then, he has been working for media companies, writing reviews, and taking part in film distribution projects. Home Ground is his second short film.
