When Indy learns that her father doesn't have enough money for a birthday treat at school, she feels mortified. Desperate to keep her situation at home a secret from her classmates, she decides to fix a treat herself.

During his studies at the Netherlands Film Academy, Daniël Bakker made several short films, some of which were screened at European Film Festivals. His productions are intimate and they are characterized by the use of very young protagonists. Kleingeld is his graduation project.
