Lost Face is a classic story by legendary writer Jack London about a man out of place and out of time. In mid-1800’s Russian America, Subienkow finds himself the second-to-last survivor of a group of Russian fur-thieves who have just been defeated by liberators from the local tribe they have enslaved as forced labour. Now Subienkow faces a long, protracted and painful death unless he can come up with a plan for escape. Subienkow calls over the tribe’s chief, MakamUk and he begins to barter.

Lost Face è un classico del leggendario scrittore Jack London, tratta di un uomo al di fuori dello spazio e dal tempo. Nell’America Russa di metà Ottocento, Subienkow è il penultimo sopravvissuto di un gruppo di ladri appena sconfitti dai liberatori di una tribù locale che lo hanno schiavizzato e messo ai lavori forzati. Lo attende una morte lenta, prolungata e dolorosa, a meno che non riesca a ideare un piano per fuggire. Subienkow chiama il capotribù, MakamUk, e comincia il baratto.

Sean graduated film school in Western Australia, then spent a decade in the camera department, working his way up from 2nd AC to cinematographer on commercials, television series and feature films (he still shoots his own TVC work). Sean has been directing commercials for 15 years. He is co-owner of a TVC production company in Australia. He is also represented in the US, Canada and London. Sean has won almost 50 awards for his commercial work. Lost Face is Sean’s first short film.

Sean si diploma nella scuola di cinema della Western Australia, prima di trascorrere 10 anni dietro la telecamera, passando da secondo assistente regista a direttore della fotografia per video commerciali, serie televisive e lungometraggi. Sean dirige video pubblicitari da 15 anni. È comproprietario di una casa di produzione in Australia ed è rappresentato anche negli USA, in Canada e a Londra. Sean ha vinto almeno 50 premi per la sua attività. Lost Face è il suo primo cortometraggio.
