After his wife's death and his son’s emigration to England, the former shoemaker Mr. Wojcik becomes a misanthrope. When the first international queer café opens in front of his window, Mr. Wojcik considers himself to be the "defender" of Poland.

Inizia i suoi studi cinematografici in Film e Televisione a Monaco di Baviera. Partecipa a numerosi Festival Internazionali tra cui Hof Film Festival, Mumbai IFF, Shangai e Varsavia. Nel 2015 riceve il Bavarian Film Prize come Miglior regista emergente.

He begins his film studies at the University of Television and Film in Munich. He takes part in many international festivals, including Hof International Film Festival, Warsaw Film Festival, Shanghai and Mumbai IFF. In 2015, he receives the Bavarian Film Prize for Best New Director.
