Dalla Via Emilia al West A journey within the borders of the Emilia-Romagna region

This selection includes short films made by filmmakers from the Emilia-Romagna region, or who have found inspiration in it, and are a valuable portrayal of the local environment and an example of local-based cinema supported by the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission. However, these short-films’ local dimension should not be seen as a limitation, as they promt a universal thinking: the Emilia-Romagnar region thus becomes a microcosm embodying universal experiences and themes of human living. Love, friendship, family, pain, joy: each short-film provides a perspective on what it means to be an individual in an ever-changing society. This selection is a plea to explore narrative frontiers, starting to look at authors and filmmakers who live in our area.
