Projection of the movie MAGMA. Mattarella il delitto perfetto – 29 april ore p pm @Teatro Astoria
Forty-five years after the assassination of Piersanti Mattarella, the Ennesimo Film Festival welcomes Giorgia Furlan and her powerful documentary Magma: Mattarella, The Perfect Crime. It is a work that reopens a still bleeding wound in Italian history, a journey into the shadows of the years of lead, amid political murders, deception and state betrayals. Magma is not just a documentary, but a punch to the gut, an invitation to confront the past of our nation and reflect on the shadows to continue to haunt our present. The film traces the murder of Piersanti Mattarella, a key figure in Italian politics, and connects it to the Bologna massacre a few months later. Two tragic events that marked an era and still question our collective consciousness today. Together with Giorgia Furlan, a talented Sicilian filmmaker, we will explore the creative process that gave birth to Magma, a passionate investigation that unfolds with the pace of a thriller but with the lacerating weight of reality. We will analyze the reconstruction of a Palermo trapped between corruption and violence, a political laboratory that marked the history of Italy.
