She made her debut at a young age as the protagonist in the Italian-American production “L’amica geniale” by Saverio Costanzo. The series became an international success and was broadcast worldwide under the title “My Brilliant Friend” on HBO, giving Margherita global visibility. In the continuation of the saga written by Elena Ferrante, Margherita manages to shape the character of an adult facing new problems and situations, finding inspiration also in the directions of Daniele Luchetti, who took over the artistic direction of the series. She then worked with Susanna Nichiarelli, and together they tackled the character of Chiara in the homonymous film, presented in the official competition at the 79th Venice International Film Festival. Margherita Mazzucco introduces the first evening of the official selection of the Ennesimo Film Festival in a dialogue with the festival’s artistic director, where she talks about herself as a young artist and interpreter of one of the most beloved characters of the RAI series.
