Riccardo Falcinelli introduces the evening dedicated to
design and architecture at Ennesimo Film Festival.
Author, teacher and populariser, Riccardo Falcinelli is one of the most appreciated and influential graphic designers on the Italian scene. He’s author of many critical texts focusing on the power of images and their decomposition, the role of visual design, and the awareness and responsibility of static and moving images in everyday life. Riccardo Falcinelli will be with us at the Astoria Theatre to discuss the power of images. Reflecting on the role of design and the ability of designers to work on the future. «In the contemporary world design is everywhere: it can be used, inhabited, enjoyed, handled, benefited from, exploited, wasted, destroyed, recycled; but above all design can be ‘seen’.»
RICCARDO FALCINELLI is a designer and writer. For more than twenty years he has edited the graphics for some of the major Italian and foreign publishers, including Einaudi, Harper Collins, Disney, Zanichelli. He teaches Psychology of Perception at ISIA Roma Design and is the author of essays on the relationship between design and visual culture.
