Tomorrow, it will be the turn of the Caesar Design Film Award, with Riccardo Falcinelli and Simona Finessi as special guests.
Ennesimo Film Festival didn’t stop even for May 1st, the film festival in Fiorano Modenese that will unfold between the Astoria Theater and its surroundings until May 5th. There were six events in seven hours, all in Fiorano: it started at 10 a.m. at the Biblioteca Ludoteca Archivio (BLA) with the screening of ‘Worldwide’ shorts, followed by the opening of the Ennesimo Academy’s exhibits with a subsequent award ceremony in the same space at 11 a.m. Also at the BLA, at 2:30 p.m., there was a screening of short films on climate change, to visually depict the ambitious Agenda 2030; from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., workshops were held at the Ludoteca Barone Rosso for children aged 3 to 10 to take their first steps into the world of cinema. At 3:30 p.m., Artificial Intelligence made its debut at the Festival, and at 5 p.m., short films about Sardinia were screened at the Library. At the Maranello Youth Center, at 6 p.m., Academy students showcased the productions of the ‘Workclip’ project. At 9 p.m. we returned to Fiorano, at the Astoria Theater Café, with the cinematic bingo.
Thursday, May 2nd, will begin at the Auditorium of the Boiardo Comprehensive Institute in Scandiano, with the second meeting of the Comix Academy featuring cartoonist Wallo & Friends. This will be followed by the screening of shorts from the Ennesima Youth Selection. At 8:30 a.m., at the Astoria Theater in Fiorano, there will be a screening of Olmo Parenti’s film about the lives of laborers in Borgo Mezzanone, a screening dedicated to Academy students who will then meet the director. In the Theater of the Sant’Agnese school in Modena, the productions from the ‘Your City’ course, dedicated to the Academy, will be shown. Ceramiche Caesar will return to the spotlight in the second part of the day: at 3 p.m., students from the Industrial Product Design degree course at the University of Bologna, nicknamed Wannabe Designers, will visit the production site; two hours later, the girls and boys will meet with Platform architecture and design director Simona Finessi, again in a space set up specifically by the company; the day will conclude at 8:30 p.m. with the usual Caesar Design Film Award ceremony at the Astoria Theater, featuring a screening of shorts on the world of architecture and design preceded by a talk with Riccardo Falcinelli.
