The official awards ceremony is expected, and anticipation is growing. Meanwhile, the festival in Fiorano has seen full attendance for most of the events.
The ninth edition of the Ennesimo Film Festival hosted in Fiorano Modenese is about to come to an end. Tomorrow, Sunday, May 5th, Cecilia Sala will open the closing and official awards ceremony. Throughout the day tomorrow, from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm, the virtual experiences of the Ennesimo Film Festival will be offered, providing participants with augmented reality using VR at the BLA, and the Big Balloon in Piazza Ciro Menotti for the younger audience. Successively, at the BLA, there will be three different screenings: at 10 am “From Via Emilia to the West”, at 11:30 am “Worldwide”, and at 3 pm “War Game”. From 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, workshops will be held for children aged 3 to 10 at the Ludoteca Barone Rosso, while at 5 pm, a seminar with Alessandro Coletta, Director of the COSMO-SkyMed Mission, in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency, will take place at the BLA. This will be followed by a screening of the films selected for the “Space” category. The closing ceremony is scheduled for 8:30 pm, where Cecilia Sala, a prominent guest, will open the evening at the Teatro Astoria, followed by the official awards ceremony. Admission is free; therefore, no reservation is required.
Meanwhile, today’s workshop at 5 pm, led by director Demetra Birtone on creating audiovisuals using AI, was fully booked. Following the workshop was the screening of “Cassandra,” a film produced by Scuola Holden and Rai Cinema, directed by Birtone herself with the support of Artificial Intelligence. Elettra Caporello, the dialogue coach for films by Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen, opened the Official Selection at the Teatro Astoria at 8:30 pm, marking the end of the screening of the last ten short films in the Official Selection. The first ten were screened yesterday, also at the Teatro Astoria, following a talk with Margherita Mazzucco, known for her role in “l’amica geniale,” which attracted over 300 attendees. It’s worth noting the positive response and significant interest in the VRs at the BLA, which transported citizens to virtual locations.
