Exploring new frontiers to strengthen the dissemination of digital culture
What impact do new technologies and innovations have on the human being? How do authors who deal with these tools build a cultural product? How does it impact our perception, our psyche? The experience with visors allows us to experience journeys into unexpected worlds and unexplored situations while sitting comfortably. A narrative that is different from the traditional styles of cinema, but which is highly exciting and total thanks to the immersive fruition.
This year’s philosophical Odyssey merges the keyword of the festivalphilosophy, psyche, with the literary soul of the Cionini library, proposing works in Virtual Reality capable of questioning both. A dizzying journey through dream poems, great classics of literature and mythologies transposed into VR and an unexpected meditative space.
The works in VR that can be viewed are the trilogy The Reimagined Series, shown at the Venice Film Festival and beyond, in which fables and stories are re-told in spherical images, experimenting with languages and animation; Castle of Unknowing, a dream poem written and conceived for VR; Anne Frank House, an application that allows us to visit Anne’s refuge, reconstructed through her unforgettable diary; Medinitaly, a meditation application that transforms any environment into a place suitable for meditating and taking care of oneself. It is a path to be enjoyed freely to activate critical thinking, relax, and have fun.
